Once upon a time in a faraway land, there lived a group of friends who all had unique first names. There was Cassie, who loved to sing and dance, Max, who was always tinkering with gadgets, Lily, who had a green thumb and loved to garden, and Jack, who was a talented artist.
One day, the friends were walking through the forest when they stumbled upon a mysterious old house. The door creaked open, and they cautiously stepped inside. The house was dark and dusty, with cobwebs covering the walls and furniture. Suddenly, they heard a loud cackling coming from upstairs.
The friends cautiously climbed the creaky staircase, their hearts pounding with fear. As they reached the top, they saw a wicked witch sitting in a rocking chair, stirring a bubbling cauldron.
The witch turned to the friends and cackled, “Welcome, my dear children. I have a challenge for you. Each of you must find a rare ingredient to add to my potion. If you succeed, I will let you leave this house unharmed.”
Cassie, Max, Lily, and Jack all nodded bravely, determined to complete the task. The witch gave them each a clue to help them find their ingredient.
Cassie’s clue read: “My ingredient is hidden in a place where music fills the air.” She immediately thought of the nearby carnival and rushed over to search for her ingredient. She found a rare flower growing near the stage where musicians were playing.
Max’s clue read: “My ingredient is hidden in a place where gadgets are sold.” He headed to the nearby market and found a rare crystal that he needed.
Lily’s clue read: “My ingredient is hidden in a place where plants are treasured.” She searched high and low in the nearby botanical garden and found a rare leaf that would complete the potion.
Jack’s clue read: “My ingredient is hidden in a place where art is celebrated.” He headed to the local art museum and found a rare paintbrush that he needed.
The friends returned to the witch’s house and added their ingredients to the potion. The witch stirred the potion and drank it, cackling with delight.
“Congratulations, my dear children,” she said. “You have completed my challenge. As a reward, I will let you leave this house unharmed.”
The friends left the house, relieved and grateful to be alive. They realized that their unique talents and skills had helped them succeed in the witch’s challenge. From that day on, they knew that their first names were not just labels but a reflection of who they were.
