Once upon a time, in a small village nestled in the heart of a forest, lived two friends named Lily and Max. Lily was a kind and gentle girl with long blonde hair and sparkling blue eyes, while Max was a brave and adventurous boy with short brown hair and a mischievous grin.
One day, while playing in the forest, they stumbled upon a magical tree that shimmered with a bright light. As they approached the tree, they heard a faint whisper that said, “I am the Tree of Names, and I have the power to grant wishes to those who speak my name.”
Excited by the prospect of making a wish, Lily and Max eagerly asked the tree to grant them each a wish. The tree replied, “I can grant your wishes, but with a catch. Your wishes will only come true if you can solve the riddles I present to you.”
Undeterred, Lily and Max accepted the challenge and listened intently as the tree presented them with the first riddle. “I am always hungry, I must always be fed. The finger I touch, Will soon turn red. What am I?”
Puzzled, Lily and Max put their heads together and tried to come up with an answer. After much thought, they finally realized that the answer was fire. Delighted, the tree granted their wish, and Lily wished for a beautiful flower garden, while Max wished for a magic sword.
However, the tree was not satisfied with just one riddle, and soon presented them with another. “I am taken from a mine, and shut up in a wooden case, from which I am never released, and yet I am used by almost every human being. What am I?”
This time, Lily and Max were stumped. They had never heard such a difficult riddle before. After much brainstorming, they finally realized that the answer was pencil lead.
The tree was impressed by their cleverness and granted them their second wish. Lily’s garden bloomed with colorful flowers of every kind, while Max’s sword glowed with a bright blue light.
But the tree was not done yet, and presented them with a final riddle. “I am light as a feather, yet the strongest man cannot hold me for more than a few minutes. What am I?”
Lily and Max were determined to solve this final riddle and win their third wish. After much thought, they finally realized that the answer was breath.
Impressed by their intelligence and perseverance, the tree granted them their final wish. Lily wished for a beautiful singing bird, while Max wished for a magical flying carpet.
As they left the forest, Lily and Max marveled at the magical items they had acquired, and vowed to always use their intelligence and creativity to solve any challenge that came their way.
